Annual Picnic
Meeting - Members, prospective members and guests meet at
Slusser's Chapel at 1543 Mt Tabor
Road in Blacksburg, VA for the annual picnic. Everyone is welcome. 6:00 PM Social time,

fish fry of the year, 509 meals and 350 pounds of fish were served. 6-09

The
YMCA at VT, selected from 22 applicants, was honored with the
Momentum Award
from the Mount Tabor Ruritan Club. As part of a one-time gift, that was
meant to increase services to the community and increase visibility for the
Ruritans, the Y will be purchasing a new vehicle for the Y Thrift Shop so we
can make more pickups and deliveries. And, once we find the right
truck/van, we'll put on both the Y and the Ruritan logo.
